Who Was I? Who Am I? Who do I Want to be?

My passions in life are strong. So strong they could blow over a house like a tornado in Oklahoma. I've always seemed to have strong passions growing up from cooking to drawing to doing tricks on the trampoline I had learned in gymnastics that day. Sometimes I get overwhelmed when making decisions, deciding on what I want to continue and not to continue. With so much to excel in its hard to see what my future will look like when I get older. It's almost like being in a fairytale, when everything clicks, it works, for about a few minutes at least. The real questions I ask myself are, who was I? Who am I now in this age? And who do I want to be?

As far back as I can remember I went to church with my family. I feel that my church, my faith and my family has helped develop a strong moral base that will go with me forever. I was a good child when I was young. I grew up going to church ,before I could walk ,with my family. Not often did I cry or fuss during church which was good since most of the other children distracted the pastor's sermons by throwing a fit. I was also put in a young children's gymnastics class where I discovered my first  biggest passion where I could let out the crazy insanity I had, as all little children have. Even though I had season ending injuries, I was able to battle back to continue competing in a sport I loved. As I got older I found my way into music. It started small by watching my brother perform all over the state, then into singing in plays in elementary school, then lastly learning to play piano and violin. Music was definitely my second biggest passion. However, at the same time, I found myself interested in drawing as well. It was fun and even though I wasn't good, I still liked to take classes. I wouldn't say that art was one of my strongest passions, but sometimes, I’d make a breathtaking picture or sketch and it would make me question if it as one of  my strongest passions. I excelled in many things and hobbies, but all those options started to shrink to less stronger passions that will help me see what I want to do in the future. All these passions helped make who I am today and how I live my life in the present.

Today I think of myself as a nice, unique person. Like everyone else I like listening to music, I keep up with the new trends, I have friends, maybe a little fewer than others, but I am absolutely not a “popular” girl. I would never want or dream to be “popular” because a lot of popular people are mean and selfish. Not all of them but most of them. Today I am captivated with gymnastics, music, tennis, and engineering. These are some of my  passions that I think are the strongest in my life right now. I'm still young so they may change over time when I find new passions or old passions I like. I'm now involved in DECA and I'm going to try out for the tennis team this fall. Now in gymnastics I'm in a more advanced class with more advanced skills. In piano, I'm learning classical, today's pop and writing my own songs. I'm currently not involved in any engineering programs but hope to next year. Right now for tennis I am taking private classes and will look forward to the tryouts. I also have been into reading books all the time and whenever I have free time I read. Sometimes I get so lost in my books I don't even realize if someone's talking to me,but that's only sometimes. I'm limiting my passions to correspond with what my future will be like.

I want to be an independent, world changer. A person who changes the world by creating new objects that function to saving and improving the world. I think of myself as growing up to be a engineer. I'm still trying to decide what type of engineer and what department I want to be. I imagine going to OU but if I can't then I will go to an Oklahoma City college and try to see if I can do the same thing there. I don't know if I will continue gymnastics or tennis when I go to college because I don't think I will have enough time and effort for them but I will enjoy it while it lasts. Regardless, the hard work, commitment and discipline  I learned will stay with me forever . .  I also hope my art and drawing skills are good or get better for the future to sketch out ideas. I want to have a small house to rent that is near the college I attend. I want to be able to get a job in engineering and have enough money to buy a car and be able to manage my pets. When I get older, I hope it goes smoothly in getting into my career, finishing college and making a difference in the world.

My life has many passions that I have and will continue to balance them to support what I want and need to do to make it in life. Even though the days may not be as easy as I imagine, I hope to accomplish everything to engage in success. I hope I can support myself in the future with finances and knowledge to live a helpful lifestyle. Since I'm still sorting out my passions, I can’t wait to decide on my future. I will need to know, in the end, who I was, and who I want to be throughout life  to help me in decisions and processes.
